So I just finished watching Blue Period on Netflix today with my roommate and I just wanted to give a few thoughts on it. I just want to say first off that I thought it was a very good show, but that won’t be the focus of this post.
I want to write about the reflections that were going through my head as I was watching. This anime goes into a few deep thoughts that I’d never thought a piece of media would ever delve so deep into:
- Working hard until you are “good enough”
- The FOMO (Fear of missing out) on not having a goal
- Working too hard that you start missing things happening around you as time passes
- Worrying that all this work will just go down the drain in the future
- Scared to not work because you won’t be able to keep up with your peers
- Admiring those who don’t have to work as much to achieve great results
- Finding your “passion” too late
- Having high expectations of your role models
- Realizing that even geniuses are human and they have their own fair share of problems
- Doing the correct thing vs. living life and embracing the unknown
These are just a few of the things that I felt when watching Blue Period. Gonna sleep now bye.
